The hands that put the stars into the sky,
That formed us from the dust and gave us life,
Were pierced to bear our sin and bring us peace,
To reconcile to God and to redeem.
The voice that called Creation into light,
Inspired the prophets with His perfect plan,
He speaks assurance to my weary soul,
And tells me of the grace in which I stand,
Boldly to approach His throne, by no merit of my own,
Only by the saving blood of Christ.
The victory is mine to sing, the glory of this matchless King,
For eternity my soul will cry:
‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty,
Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb who was slain.’
The God who raised Christ Jesus from the grave,
Shall give His life to all who will receive,
And by His Spirit we shall walk in faith
Empowered to claim this perfect victory!
And as we approach His throne, by no merit of our own,
Confident, we point to Jesus Christ.
Sin has lost its grip on me, strife has turned to victory,
He has called us out from death to life!
‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty,
Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb who was slain.’
